Calling all Chicago dancers, choreographers & arts educators!

The Chicago Dance History Project is looking to feature a few short performances and/or mini movement workshops to be presented during our upcoming Transcript-A-Thon, co-hosted by Old Town School of Folk Music. Engage with the Chicago dance history community by sharing a performance or movement activity to showcase how Chicago has shaped dance — and how, in turn, dance has shaped Chicago. Please see details below for quick and easy submission:

  • If interested, please email Sarah at chicagodancehistory@gmail.com with the following information: Your name and/or name of company, name of piece or movement activity, a short description of your submission (5-10 sentences), and contact info. Submissions can be no longer than 12 minutes.
  • CDHP’s Transcript-A-Thon will be held at the Old Town School of Folk Music on December 5th, from 1-6pm; performers/educators are not required to be there for the full 5 hours. Performance times TBD.
  • Food and drinks will be provided for all!

We hope you can join us for our first ever Transcript-A-Thon and community gathering. We look forward to hearing from you!
