Chuck Osgood is a Chicago based photographer. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has worked for City News Bureau and the Chicago Tribune and is now a freelance photographer specializing in theatre, performance, and events. He photographed the Chicago dance community extensively throughout the 1970s and ‘80s.

This collection includes approximately 290 images from photographer Chuck Osgood, shot between 1970 and 1990. It consists of performance, rehearsal, and studio shots from many Chicago dance companies, including Chicago Moving Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Jan Erkert & Dancers, Joseph Holmes Chicago Dance Theatre, Maggie Kast Dancers, and Mordine & Co Dance Theater.
