Paul Sanasardo

Lecture and Demonstration

Paul Sanasardo is a Chicago-born dancer, choreographer, and educator known for his modern dance career and work on Broadway. Throughout his life, he worked and trained with many acclaimed artists and institutions, including Martha Graham, Pina Bausch, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. In partnership with Donya Feuer, he founded the Paul Sanasardo-Donya Feuer Dance Company in 1957, which ran for over two decades. He also established the Studio for Dance in New York City, now known as Modern Dance Artists, Inc. From 1977 to 1981, Sanasardo served as the Artistic Director of Batsheva Dance Company. His company, The Paul Sanasardo Dancers, is currently in residence at the Hyde Park School of Dance.
